LAHORE: Lahore Qalandars’ fast bowlers Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf achieved a significant milestone in T20 cricket during the 19th match of HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10 against Islamabad United.
Both pacers completed 300 wickets in T20 cricket, joining an elite group of bowlers in the shortest format of the game.
Shaheen Afridi reached the 300-wicket mark in his 216th T20 match, becoming the fastest Pakistani bowler to do so. Haris Rauf followed closely behind, achieving the same feat in 228 matches. This makes them the two quickest Pakistani bowlers to take 300 wickets in T20 cricket.
Previously, the record was jointly held by Mohammad Amir and Wahab Riaz, both of whom reached the 300-wicket mark in 256 innings.
In addition to being the fastest Pakistani to 300 wickets, Shaheen Afridi is now also the fourth-fastest bowler in the world to reach this milestone in T20 cricket, underlining his rapid rise and consistency in the format.
