In a historic moment during IPL 2025, 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi etched his name in the record books by smashing a sensational century in just 35 balls. Representing Rajasthan Royals, the young left-handed batter became the youngest player ever to score a century in the Indian Premier League.
Suryavanshi achieved the milestone during a match against Gujarat Titans in Jaipur. He reached his century in the 11th over of the innings by hitting a six off Rashid Khan, marking the second-fastest hundred in IPL history.
The fastest IPL century record still belongs to Chris Gayle of Royal Challengers Bangalore, who scored 100 off just 30 balls in 2013. Suryavanshi also set the record for the fastest half-century of IPL 2025, reaching it in only 14 balls.
During his explosive innings, Suryavanshi took charge in the 10th over bowled by Karim Janat, smashing 30 runs with three fours and three sixes. He eventually scored 101 runs off 38 balls, including 7 boundaries and 11 sixes, before being dismissed.
