
Lahore: In a nail-biting clash of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10, Quetta Gladiators defeated Karachi Kings by 5 runs in the 15th match of the tournament at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.
After winning the toss, Karachi Kings opted to bowl first. Quetta Gladiators managed to post a competitive total of 142 runs, getting all out in the final over. Faheem Ashraf top-scored with 43 runs, followed by Kusal Mendis with 36 and Hassan Nawaz contributing 35 runs.
On the bowling front for Karachi, Hasan Ali took 3 wickets, while Mir Hamza and Abbass Afridi picked up 2 wickets each, helping restrict Quetta to a modest score.
In response, Karachi Kings could only manage 137 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Tim Seifert scored 47 runs, James Vince added 30, and Hasan Ali chipped in with a quick 24, but the team fell just short.
For Quetta Gladiators, Mohammad Amir, Khurram Shehzad, and Mohammad Wasim Jr. each bagged two wickets, playing a crucial role in securing the narrow win.
With this victory, the Quetta Gladiators earned 2 vital points, lifting their tally to 4 points on the PSL 10 points table. Karachi Kings remain in second place with 6 points.
