Olympic gold medalist and Pakistan’s star javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem has declined an invitation to participate in the upcoming Classic Javelin Throw Championship in Bengaluru, India, hosted by Indian Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra.
According to sources, Arshad’s training and event schedule for the year has already been finalized, making it difficult for him to accommodate the visit to India. Despite the friendly gesture and personal invitation from Neeraj Chopra, Arshad will not be able to take part in the competition due to prior commitments.
The celebrated athlete is currently preparing for the Asian Athletics Championships, scheduled to be held in South Korea. Arshad will depart for Korea on April 22, with the championship set to commence on May 27.
