
Lahore: In the 14th match of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10, Peshawar Zalmi secured a convincing 7-wicket victory over Lahore Qalandars at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
Peshawar Zalmi won the toss and opted to bowl first. The decision proved effective as the Lahore Qalandars were bowled out for 129 runs in the final over of their innings. Sikandar Raza stood out with a solid knock of 52 runs, while Shaheen Afridi contributed 16 and Rashid Hussain added 13. Fakhar Zaman and Haris Rauf chipped in with 10 runs each.
For Peshawar Zalmi, Alzarri Joseph led the bowling attack with three wickets, while Hussain Talat and Luke Wood claimed two wickets apiece, helping restrict the Qalandars to a modest total.
In response, Peshawar Zalmi chased down the 130-run target in the 17th over with ease. Skipper Babar Azam anchored the innings with a match-winning unbeaten 56, registering his first half-century of the season. Hussain Talat also played a crucial role with 51 runs, building a strong partnership with his captain. Saim Ayub managed only 2 runs.
For Lahore, Shaheen Afridi was the only standout bowler, picking up two wickets.
