
Lahore— Pakistan women’s cricket team left-arm spinner Nashra Sandhu has expressed her delight and pride at being named in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier Team of the Tournament.
Calling it a “great honor,” Nashra credited not only the players but also the coaches for the team’s outstanding performance during the qualifier matches. “Our coaches worked incredibly hard with us,” she stated, adding that the unity and collective spirit of the squad played a key role in their success.
“All the players played as one unit, and that’s how we won our matches,” she said. Nashra emphasized the importance of teamwork, stating, “If we continue to play as a team, we’ll definitely perform well in the World Cup too.”
She also acknowledged the support from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), saying that Chairman Mohsin Naqvi personally met with the team to encourage them and announced rewards for their achievement.
