Former Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has finally responded to long-standing rumors about his daily milk consumption and bizarre claims of making lassi in a washing machine.
During a recent promotional event, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper was asked about the strangest rumor he had ever heard about himself. With a smile, Dhoni replied, “That I drink 5 liters of milk every day.”
The rumor dates back to the early 2000s when Dhoni’s fitness and strength led to wild speculations, including claims that he drank 5 liters of milk daily to stay in peak form. Some stories even bizarrely claimed that he made lassi using a washing machine.
Dhoni took the opportunity to dismiss the lassi myth as well, laughing it off as nothing more than a creative exaggeration. He had previously mentioned in an older interview that he does drink milk, but no more than one liter a day, calling the additional 4 liters “too much.”
Now 43 years old, Dhoni retired from international cricket in 2020, but he remains an active part of the IPL. Despite dealing with knee issues this season, the legendary wicketkeeper-batsman has managed to contribute effectively for CSK, scoring 134 runs in 8 matches at an impressive strike rate of over 150.
