
Karachi: Pakistan fast bowler Hasan Ali created history in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) by becoming the highest wicket-taker in the tournament’s history, surpassing Wahab Riaz’s long-standing record.
The record-breaking feat came during PSL 10’s eighth match between Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators at the National Stadium Karachi, where Karachi Kings posted 175/7 while batting first. In reply, the Quetta Gladiators struggled and could only manage 119/9, giving the Karachi Kings a convincing 56-run victory.
Hasan Ali delivered a stellar bowling performance, picking up three crucial wickets and playing a key role in Karachi’s win. His landmark moment arrived when he dismissed Hassan Nawaz for just one run, taking his total PSL wickets tally to 116 in 84 innings, surpassing Wahab Riaz’s 113 wickets in 87 innings.
The 30-year-old pacer is enjoying a fantastic run of form in PSL 10, having already taken 8 wickets in just 3 matches so far. His consistency and sharp bowling have made him one of the standout performers of the season.
Karachi Kings have now won 2 out of their 3 matches, securing 4 points, and currently sit third on the points table.
