In the eighth match of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10, Karachi Kings registered a dominant 56-run victory over Quetta Gladiators at the National Stadium, Karachi.
Batting first after winning the toss, Karachi Kings posted a competitive total of 175 runs for the loss of 7 wickets. James Vince led the charge with a brilliant 70-run knock, while David Warner contributed 31 runs, and Tim Seifert added 27.
In response, the Quetta Gladiators struggled throughout their chase and could only manage 119 runs for 9 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Captain Saud Shakeel top-scored with 33 runs, and Mohammad Amir, who also bowled for Quetta this season, added 30 runs with the bat.
Karachi’s bowling attack remained tight and disciplined, restricting Quetta from building any significant partnerships. For Quetta, Ali Majid and Mohammad Amir took two wickets each, but it wasn’t enough to contain the Kings’ batting lineup.
With this win, Karachi Kings now move to third place on the PSL 10-point table with 4 points, tied with Lahore Qalandars, who sit second on net run rate. Islamabad United leads the table with 6 points, while Quetta Gladiators remain in fourth with 2 points. Multan Sultans and Peshawar Zalmi are yet to open their account.
