
Rawalpindi: In the second match of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10, Quetta Gladiators secured a dominant 80-run victory over Peshawar Zalmi at the National Stadium in Karachi.
After winning the toss, Zalmi opted to bowl first. Quetta Gladiators took full advantage, posting a massive total of 216 runs for the loss of just 3 wickets in their allotted 20 overs.
Captain Saud Shakeel and Finn Allen gave Quetta a strong start with a partnership of 88 runs. Saud scored 59 runs while Allen added a quickfire 53. Contributions also came from Hassan Nawaz (41), Kusal Mendis (35), and Rilee Rossouw (21).
For Peshawar, Ali Raza, Sufyan Muqeem, and Joseph took one wicket each.
In response, Peshawar Zalmi could only manage 136 runs before being bowled out in the 16th over. Saim Ayub was the top scorer with 50 runs, followed by Hussain Talat (35) and Mitchell Owen (31).
Quetta’s bowling unit was on fire, with Abrar Ahmed taking 4 wickets, while Mohammad Amir and Usman Tariq grabbed 2 wickets apiece.
