Lahore: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has imposed a one-year ban on South African all-rounder Corbin Bosch, barring him from participating in the next season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
According to the PCB, Corbin Bosch violated his contractual obligations with the league by withdrawing from PSL despite signing an agreement. He reportedly prioritized another league over his PSL commitments, which led to disciplinary action by the board.
As part of the penalty, Bosch has also been fined. However, the PCB has not disclosed the monetary penalty, citing a non-disclosure agreement.
The South African cricketer has accepted the punishment and issued an apology to fans, particularly those of Peshawar Zalmi, the team he was supposed to represent.
In a statement, Bosch said, “I am deeply sorry for my actions and sincerely apologize to the fans in Pakistan and especially to Peshawar Zalmi supporters. I take full responsibility for my decision and accept the punishment handed down by the PCB.”
