
Lahore: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially announced the prize money for the upcoming 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). According to the PCB, the winning team of HBL PSL 10 will be awarded $500,000 USD, which is approximately PKR 145 million. Meanwhile, the runner-up will receive $200,000 USD, roughly PKR 56.1 million.
The much-anticipated tournament is set to begin tomorrow with a grand opening ceremony at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. The opening match will feature defending champions Islamabad United taking on Lahore Qalandars.
This year’s tournament will see six franchises battling it out across 34 matches, culminating in the final on May 18. The Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore will host 13 matches, including both eliminators and the final. The Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium will host 11 matches, including the first qualifier on May 13. National Bank Stadium in Karachi and Multan Cricket Stadium will each host five matches.
The schedule includes three doubleheaders, with two taking place on weekends and one on Labor Day (May 1).
Star players like Babar Azam, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Rizwan, and Shaheen Shah Afridi will continue to lead Peshawar Zalmi, Islamabad United, Multan Sultans, and Lahore Qalandars, respectively. Meanwhile, Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators will enter the field under the leadership of new captains David Warner and Saud Shakeel.
Last season, Islamabad United clinched their third PSL title, while Multan Sultans ended as runners-up for the third consecutive time.
