
New Zealand has completed a clean sweep in the ODI series against Pakistan by defeating them in the third and final ODI by 43 runs. The Kiwis put on an all-around performance in batting, bowling, and fielding, outclassing the Green Shirts.
Pakistan’s top order struggled as Babar Azam scored 50 runs, while Abdullah Shafique and Tayyab Tahir both made 33 runs before getting out. Under the concussion rules, Imam-ul-Haq was replaced by Usman Khan, who could only manage 12 runs before being dismissed. Salman Ali Agha also contributed just 11 runs before getting out.
New Zealand set a target of 265 runs after their innings, posting 264 runs in 42 overs for the loss of 8 wickets. Opener Rachin Ravindra played a fiery knock, scoring 58 runs with the help of six fours and two sixes. Michael Bracewell also put on an impressive performance, hitting six sixes to score 59 runs.
For Pakistan, Aaqib Javed was the most successful bowler, taking four wickets. Naseem Shah picked up two wickets, while Sufyan Muqeem and Faheem Ashraf each took one wicket.
With this win, New Zealand completed a 3-0 series whitewash, leaving Pakistan with a lot to reflect upon ahead of future challenges.
