Winning the toss and opting to bat first, Pakistan posted a solid total of 201/6. Despite the early loss of opener Saim Ayub for 4, Sahibzada Farhan and Mohammad Haris stitched together a crucial 103-run stand off just 54 balls. Haris contributed 41 runs off 25 balls, while Farhan smashed 74 runs off 41 deliveries, including 8 boundaries and 4 sixes.
Agha Salman and Shadab Khan chipped in with 19 and 7 runs, respectively. Rising star Hasan Nawaz continued his explosive form, remaining unbeaten on 51 off 26 balls, hitting 3 sixes and 2 fours. Pakistan ended their innings on a strong note, setting a target of 202 runs.
Bangladesh bowlers Hasan Mahmud and Tanzim Hasan Sakib picked up 2 wickets each.
In response, Bangladesh’s chase got off to an aggressive start from Tanzid Hasan, who scored 33 runs, but regular wickets from the other end derailed the innings.
