Amid escalating tensions between Pakistan and India, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially announced the immediate suspension of all ongoing domestic cricket tournaments across the country, citing security concerns.
According to the PCB’s press release, the following competitions have been postponed:
- President’s Trophy Grade-II
- Regional Inter-District Challenge Cup
- Inter-District U19 One-Day Tournaments
The board emphasized that the decision was taken in view of the evolving security situation and that all tournaments will be rescheduled in due course. Once resumed, each competition will continue from the same stage at which it was suspended.
This decision comes shortly after the PCB also suspended the remaining matches of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10, initially relocating them to Karachi and later to the UAE, due to the same regional instability.
The PCB reiterated its commitment to the safety and well-being of players, officials, and fans and assured that a new schedule for the domestic tournaments will be released soon.
