Social media has become a toxic place, and recently, it crossed a line with trolls mocking the innocent expression of Indian cricketer Jasprit Bumrah’s son, Angad. Bumrah’s wife, Sanjana Ganesan, didn’t hold back in expressing her anger, giving a fierce response to those targeting their child.
During a recent IPL match where Mumbai Indians defeated Lucknow Super Giants, Bumrah’s wife and their son were present at the stadium to support the cricketer. However, the innocent reactions of their young son, Angad, caught on camera were turned into mockery by some internet users, which deeply upset Sanjana.
As the camera focused on Angad during the match, a few social media users took the opportunity to ridicule the child, making fun of his innocent expressions. In response, Sanjana Ganesan took to Instagram, sharing a strongly worded post.
She expressed how disappointing it was to see people speculate about a small child based on just a few seconds of video footage. In her message, she firmly told the trolls that their son is not a source of entertainment. Sanjana further emphasized that she and Jasprit make every effort to keep Angad away from social media because the internet is a “horrible place.”
Sanjana also reminded everyone that bringing a child into a packed cricket stadium filled with cameras isn’t easy. However, it’s essential to understand that she and Angad were there to support Jasprit, not for public scrutiny.
Additionally, she criticized users who used serious mental health terms like “depression patient” in relation to Angad’s innocent expressions. Sanjana said such language reflects the moral decline of society. She urged these trolls to remember that they know nothing about their family’s life and should keep their opinions to themselves.
