
Karachi: In the 10th match of HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10, Islamabad United defeated Karachi Kings by 6 wickets in a low-scoring encounter held at the National Bank Stadium, Karachi.
After winning the toss, Islamabad United captain Shadab Khan elected to bowl first. Karachi Kings struggled with the bat and managed to post 128 runs for 7 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Tim Seifert top-scored with 30 runs, followed by Abbas Afridi (24) and Saad Baig (20).
For Islamabad United, the bowling was well-balanced. Naseem Shah, Jason Holder, and Shadab Khan all claimed 2 wickets each, restricting Karachi to a modest total.
Chasing 129, Islamabad United reached the target in the 18th over, finishing at 129/4. Shadab Khan played a captain’s knock, scoring 47 runs. He was supported by Azam Khan (31) and Sahibzada Farhan (30), both contributing crucial runs in the middle order.
From Karachi’s bowling attack, Hasan Ali picked up 2 wickets, while Abbas Afridi and Mohammad Nabi claimed one each.
With this victory, Islamabad United remain undefeated in the tournament, winning all four of their matches and sitting comfortably at the top of the points table. On the other hand, Karachi Kings now have 4 points from 4 matches, placing them in the middle of the table as they look to bounce back in the upcoming fixtures.
