
Lahore: The ICC has announced the Team of the Tournament for the recently concluded Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier, held in Lahore, Pakistan. The tournament saw some outstanding performances, with Pakistan’s captain Fatima Sana named as the captain of the Team of the Tournament.
The squad features players from four different nations, reflecting the diversity and competitive spirit of the tournament. A total of four Pakistani players earned spots on the elite team — Fatima Sana, Muneeba Ali, Nashra Sandhu, and Sadia Iqbal — following their stellar performances throughout the qualifier.
Other players in the squad include Sharmin Akhter and Nigar Sultana from Bangladesh, while Hayley Matthews, Aaliyah Alleyne, and Sheneta Grimmond (Shenel Henry) represent the West Indies. From Scotland, both Kathryn Bryce and Katherine Fraser secured their places in the lineup.
Rabeya Khan of Bangladesh has been named as the reserve player for the team.
