The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) have mutually agreed to remove the One Day Internationals (ODIs) from their upcoming bilateral series scheduled for May 2024.
As per the original Future Tours Programme (FTP), Bangladesh was set to play three ODIs and three T20Is in Pakistan. However, sources confirm that the revised schedule will now consist of five T20I matches instead of ODIs.
The decision was made with the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024 in mind, as both teams aim to focus on the shortest format ahead of the global tournament.
Additionally, there is a possibility of Pakistan touring Bangladesh outside the FTP for a three-match T20I series in July 2024.
