In a recent Grade-II domestic cricket tournament in Pakistan, Kingsmen captain Hammad Azam has been fined 25% of his match fee for misconduct toward match officials.
The incident took place during a match against Winning Triple Nine Sports, where Hammad Azam reacted angrily after being given out. According to sources, he initially misbehaved with the on-field umpires Rafiq Ahmed and Abdul Kareem and later continued his unruly conduct with match referee Ali Gohar during the official post-match meeting.
Following the altercation, the on-field umpires reported the incident to the match referee. Hammad Azam and the Kingsmen team manager were summoned, during which Hammad again displayed disrespectful behavior, this time directly toward the referee.
Taking serious notice of the repeated misconduct, the match referee imposed a 25% fine on Hammad Azam for violating the PCB’s code of conduct.
