
Lahore: Ahead of their crucial warm-up match against the West Indies, the Pakistan women’s cricket team underwent an intense training session at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The session lasted for four hours, focusing on batting, bowling, and fielding drills as part of their final preparations for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier.
Under the supervision of Head Coach Mohammad Wasim, the players focused on skill development and match-specific scenarios. The session was also supported by bowling coach Abdul Rehman, strength and conditioning coach Ramzan Salachi, and fielding coach Abdul Saad, who guided the players through specialized training routines.
Pakistan will face the West Indies in their second warm-up match on April 7, providing a final opportunity to fine-tune strategies before the tournament officially begins.
The ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2025 is set to kick off on April 9, with Pakistan playing their opening match against Ireland on the same day. The tournament is expected to be a significant step forward for women’s cricket in Pakistan.
