Pakistan cricket team’s interim head coach, Aaqib Javed, has expressed confidence in his side’s bowling attack ahead of the upcoming ODI series against New Zealand. Speaking to a sports channel, Aaqib stated that the team will try to restrict New Zealand to a score below 200.
He emphasized that, similar to South Africa and Australia, bowling-friendly conditions will be in play, and Pakistan will rely heavily on their bowling attack. He particularly highlighted Haris Rauf as a key bowler for the series.
“Our ODI team is much stronger compared to T20s. The pitches in the T20 series were quite challenging,” Aaqib Javed remarked.
The coach also praised the young players, stating that they have immense talent and need proper opportunities to showcase their skills. He expressed hope that Pakistan’s young squad will deliver strong performances in Asian conditions.
