
Lahore Blues secured the National T20 Cup title after a commanding 9-wicket victory over Peshawar Region in the final held in Faisalabad.
Batting first, the Peshawar Region struggled to put up a big total, managing only 110/9 in their allotted 20 overs. Captain Iftikhar Ahmed scored 34 runs off 33 balls, hitting two fours, while Mohammad Zulkifl contributed 32 runs, including four boundaries and a six.
In Lahore Blues’ bowling attack, Salman Mirza was the standout performer, claiming 4 wickets for just 21 runs, while Mohammad Irfan took two wickets to restrict Peshawar’s batting lineup.
Chasing the target, Lahore Blues comfortably reached 111/1 in 16 overs. Umar Siddiq led the chase with a brilliant 64 off 46 balls, hitting six fours and two sixes, while Junaid Ali remained unbeaten on 30 runs, smashing three boundaries.
With this victory, Lahore Blues lifted the National T20 Cup title for the fifth time, further cementing their dominance in domestic cricket.
Peshawar’s Sahibzada Farhan was named the Player of the Tournament, having scored 605 runs in 7 innings at an impressive strike rate of 189, including three centuries and two half-centuries.
