Former Pakistan cricket captain Shahid Afridi has advised resting Shaheen Afridi and Shadab Khan for the final T20 match against New Zealand.
Following Pakistan’s series loss, Afridi shared his thoughts on social media platform X. In his message, he suggested that Shaheen and Shadab should be given a break for the last T20 match of the series.
Afridi also recommended changes in the playing XI, emphasizing the need to give opportunities to bench players. He stated that resting senior players like Shaheen and Shadab would allow others to showcase their talent.
Earlier, Shahid Afridi had criticized Pakistan’s team selection, pointing out that inexperienced players were sent to face challenging conditions in New Zealand despite having limited domestic experience.
Shaheen Afridi and Shadab Khan’s recent performances have raised concerns, prompting the team management to reconsider their strategies moving forward.
