
Lahore: In the Eliminator 1 of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10, Lahore Qalandars knocked Karachi Kings out of the tournament with a convincing 6-wicket victory at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.
After winning the toss, Karachi Kings opted to bat first and posted a competitive total of 190/8 in their allotted 20 overs. Captain David Warner led the charge with a brilliant 75-run innings, featuring 8 fours and 3 sixes. Khushdil Shah remained unbeaten on 27, while Irfan Khan added 16 runs.
Lahore’s bowling attack was spearheaded by Haris Rauf, who picked up 3 wickets, while Shaheen Shah Afridi claimed 2 scalps to restrict Karachi’s momentum.
In reply, Lahore Qalandars successfully chased down the 191-run target in 19 overs, losing just 4 wickets. Abdullah Shafique played a match-winning knock of 65 runs, supported by Fakhar Zaman (47), Kusal Perera (30), and Bhanuka Rajapaksa (23).
For Karachi, Hasan Ali was the pick of the bowlers with 2 wickets, but his efforts weren’t enough to stop Lahore’s charge.
With this win, Lahore Qalandars advance to Eliminator 2, where they will face Islamabad United for a spot in the PSL 10 final.
