Karachi Kings head coach Ravi Bopara remains optimistic about his team’s chances in the PSL 10 playoffs, despite a tough loss to Islamabad United in their final league-stage game.
Speaking to the media after the match, Bopara admitted, “It wasn’t our best day, but this defeat hasn’t shaken our confidence.” He emphasized the unity and strength within the squad, saying, “This is a strong unit—we celebrate the good moments together and support each other during tough times. We are committed to moving forward in every way.”
Reflecting on the group stage, Bopara praised the team’s performance: “We played great cricket throughout. We finished third on the table, and while Islamabad beat us twice and deserved their spot, I’m proud of our journey.”
Bopara also lauded the emergence of new batting talent this season. “Usually, we talk about fast bowlers, but this year we’ve seen some truly powerful young hitters. They can clear boundaries and have the potential to become world-class batters with proper guidance.”
Karachi Kings will face Lahore Qalandars in a knockout clash on May 22, where they’ll aim to keep their title hopes alive.
