
Quetta Gladiators captain and middle-order batter Saud Shakeel has praised two young talents, Hassan Nawaz and Khawaja Nafi, calling them the future stars of Pakistan cricket.
Speaking about their performance in the ongoing PSL 10, Saud said, “Hassan Nawaz played all types of shots and played a vital role in our victories. His fearless and attacking approach is exactly what Pakistan cricket needs.”
He added, “Both Hassan Nawaz and Khawaja Nafi have shown promising potential. Their performances are a great sign for Pakistan’s cricketing future. I believe they are fully capable of representing Pakistan at the international level in the near future.”
Hassan Nawaz has been one of the standout performers of the season, currently ranked fifth among the top run-scorers. He has scored 317 runs in 10 matches at an impressive average of 63.40 and a strike rate of 159.29, including two fifties and a century.
Commenting on Quetta’s overall campaign, Saud said, “We’ve played some solid cricket throughout the PSL. Finishing at the top in the league stage reflects the hard work and consistency of the team. Our full focus is now on winning the qualifier and reaching the final.”
