
Iran: Pakistan secured a commanding victory over India by 14-1 to advance to the final of the West Asia Baseball Cup held in Iran.
Pakistan set the tone early by scoring 5 runs in the first inning, putting significant pressure on the Indian side. In the third inning, Pakistan extended their lead with an additional 5 runs, taking full control of the match.
Third baseman Hussain delivered an outstanding performance, while center fielder Wasim Akram and hitter Muhammad Rehan also played key roles in the win.
On the bowling front, Mohammad Haris bowled 4.1 innings, conceding just 1 run while taking 4 crucial wickets. Relief bowlers Syed Mohib Shah and Hussain Imam further tightened Pakistan’s grip by taking 5 wickets in 2.2 innings combined.
The Indian team struggled with fielding, committing 10 errors and giving away 8 walks, which allowed Pakistani batsmen to capitalize on extra opportunities.
Pakistan will face Palestine in the final, scheduled for tomorrow.
