The playoff picture for HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10 is now clear, with four teams qualifying for the next round and two teams eliminated from the tournament.
In the 29th match held on Sunday, Lahore Qalandars defeated Peshawar Zalmi by 26 runs in a rain-affected match reduced to 13 overs per side in Rawalpindi. With this victory, Lahore became the final team to qualify for the playoffs, joining Karachi Kings, Islamabad United, and Quetta Gladiators.
Peshawar Zalmi won the toss and chose to field first. Lahore Qalandars posted 149/8, powered by a strong performance from Fakhar Zaman (60 runs). In reply, Zalmi managed only 123/8, failing to chase the target.
This marks a historic moment as Peshawar Zalmi failed to reach the PSL playoffs for the first time in the league’s history. Multan Sultans had already been eliminated earlier, finishing their campaign with just 2 points.
