Rawalpindi: In a historic performance, the Quetta Gladiators smashed their way to the highest-ever team total in Pakistan Super League (PSL) history, scoring a monumental 263/3 against defending champions Islamabad United at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Wednesday.
Led by Saud Shakeel, Quetta’s batting lineup dominated the innings, with sensational centuries from Rilee Rossouw (104 off 44 balls) and Hassan Nawaz (100* off 45 balls), setting the tone for a record-breaking total.
This remarkable score eclipsed the previous highest total of 262, made by Multan Sultans against Quetta at the same venue during PSL 2023.
Chasing an enormous 264-run target, Islamabad United crumbled under pressure, managing only 154 runs in 19.3 overs, handing Quetta a thumping 109-run victory.
