
Karachi: In the 11th match of HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10, Karachi Kings clinched a narrow 2-wicket victory over Peshawar Zalmi in a nail-biting contest played in Karachi.
Karachi Kings won the toss and opted to bowl first. Peshawar Zalmi posted a total of 147/8 in their 20 overs. Babar Azam top-scored with a composed 46 runs, while Mohammad Haris contributed 28. Lower down the order, Alzarri Joseph added a quick 24, and Hussain Talat chipped in with 18.
For Karachi Kings, Khushdil Shah and Abbas Afridi were the standout bowlers, picking up three wickets each and applying constant pressure throughout Zalmi’s innings.
In response, Karachi Kings chased down the target of 148 runs in the final over, securing the win on the third ball of the 20th over. Veteran opener David Warner was the star with the bat, scoring a vital 60 runs, while Khushdil Shah remained unbeaten on 23, guiding his team to victory.
For Peshawar Zalmi, Luke Wood claimed 3 wickets, and Ali Raza took 2, but it wasn’t enough to defend the total.
