The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has officially confirmed that their upcoming tour of Pakistan will not include any One-Day Internationals (ODIs). Instead, the tour will feature only T20I matches, as per the Future Tours Programme (FTP).
According to BCB officials, the decision was made to prioritize preparations for the upcoming T20 Asia Cup 2025 and T20 World Cup 2026. The Asia Cup 2025 will be hosted by India, while the T20 World Cup 2026 will be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka.
Initially, Bangladesh was scheduled to play 3 ODIs and 3 T20Is in Pakistan, but the series has now been modified to a 5-match T20I series.
Pakistan and Bangladesh Bilateral Series Schedule
- Bangladesh will tour Pakistan in May 2025 for the five-match T20I series.
- Pakistan will visit Bangladesh in July 2025, where both teams will play three T20Is on July 20, 22, and 24.
The additional T20I series in July was finalized following discussions between the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and BCB officials during the ICC Champions Trophy meetings.
