
Lahore: Lahore Qalandars emerged victorious in the final of HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10, defeating Quetta Gladiators by 6 wickets in a thrilling contest to claim the PSL title for the third time.
The final, held at the iconic Gaddafi Stadium, saw Quetta winning the toss and opting to bat first. They posted a competitive total of 201/9 in their 20 overs.
Hassan Nawaz was the top scorer for Quetta with an explosive 76 off 43 balls, supported by Fernando (29), Chandimal (22), and a late blitz from Faheem Ashraf, who smashed 28 off just 8 balls.
For Lahore, Shaheen Afridi led the bowling attack with 3 wickets, while Salman Mirza and Haris Rauf took 2 wickets each.
In reply, Lahore Qalandars chased down the target of 202 runs in dramatic fashion, securing victory on the fifth ball of the final over.
Star batter Kusal Perera played a match-winning knock, scoring an unbeaten 62 runs, featuring 4 sixes and 5 fours. He was well supported by Mohammad Naeem (46) and Abdullah Shafique (41), while Sikandar Raza provided the finishing touches with a fiery 22 not out off 7 balls.
From Quetta’s side, Mohammad Amir, Faheem Ashraf, Abrar Ahmed, and Usman Tariq each claimed a wicket.
With this win, Lahore Qalandars become PSL champions for the third time, further solidifying their legacy in the league.
