
Lahore— New Zealand’s Mike Hesson has been officially appointed as the head coach of Pakistan’s white-ball cricket team, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi announced via a post on X.
Hesson, who is currently serving as head coach of Islamabad United in PSL 10, will formally take charge on May 26. Chairman Naqvi expressed confidence that Hesson’s experience and leadership will help the Pakistan team deliver strong performances in upcoming white-ball formats.
In a significant development for Pakistan’s cricket structure, former fast bowler Aaqib Javed has been appointed as the Director of High Performance.
“Our focus is on strengthening the core of our cricketing infrastructure,” said Naqvi. “With Mike Hesson and Aaqib Javed working together, I am confident that they will play a crucial role in the growth and success of Pakistan cricket.”
