
Dhaka: Former Bangladesh Test cricketer Tamim Iqbal has undergone angioplasty after suffering a heart attack during a Dhaka Premier League match.
According to Bangladeshi media reports, Tamim Iqbal experienced chest pain while fielding in the match. Due to the severity of the condition, he was immediately airlifted to a hospital for urgent medical attention.
Doctors conducted several medical tests before deciding to perform an angioplasty procedure to restore normal blood flow to his heart. Following the surgery, Tamim has been placed in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for close monitoring.
