
Lahore: In a nail-biting encounter at Gaddafi Stadium, Karachi Kings secured a dramatic four-wicket victory over Lahore Qalandars in Match 24 of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10, moving up to third place on the points table with 10 points.
The rain-hit clash was reduced to 15 overs per side under the DLS (Duckworth-Lewis-Stern) method. Lahore Qalandars, batting first, posted a total of 160/8. Standout performances came from Mohammad Naeem with a fiery 65 runs, Fakhar Zaman with 50, and Abdullah Shafique with 18. For Karachi Kings, Abbass Afridi starred with the ball, taking 4 wickets, while Amir Jamal, Mir Hamza, and Hasan Ali picked up a wicket each.
In reply, Karachi Kings chased the revised target of 168 with just six wickets down. Irfan Niazi anchored the chase with an unbeaten 48, while Saad Baig scored 25, and both David Warner and Tim Seifert chipped in with 24 each. On Lahore’s side, Haris Rauf and Daryl Mitchell took two wickets each, while Asif Afridi and Rashid Hussain claimed one apiece.
With this win, Karachi Kings are now firmly in contention for the playoffs.
